This 2-day trip offers a balance between cultural exploration and physical activities. We hike for a day and a half through the villages in Mai Chau and spend the night in a village of the White Thai people, where we have the opportunity to observe the lifestyle of these ethnic minority groups.
8:00 AM: Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi, commence the 2-day Mai Chau tour. Stop along the way to visit the Muong people and then at Thung Khe Pass to admire the spectacular scenery of Mai Chau Valley. Enjoy an authentic lunch with a local White Thai tribe family and take some leisure time to acquaint yourself with the villagers. Check-in to your hotel/home-stay/bungalow and rest. Continue the 2-day Mai Chau tour with a bike ride to remote villages, exploring the natural beauty of the valley and the culture of the Thai ethnic group during visits to Pom Coọng and Na Phon villages. Return to your retreat for relaxation or help prepare dinner to learn about local cuisine and culture. After dinner, enjoy a traditional folk music performance by the villagers. Overnight in a stilt house in Mai Chau. Option: Overnight at the luxurious Mai Chau Lodge resort or Private Bungalow or shared dormitory at a homestay.
Start the new day with a simple breakfast with the host family, followed by a short bike ride through the surrounding countryside before embarking on a trek through the terraced fields in Na Meo, Xam Pa, and along winding paths to visit Cum and Sam Khoe villages. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local scenery and culture. Check out and have lunch at a local restaurant. Then, free time for shopping or relaxation. 2:30 PM: Bid farewell to the local host and drive back to the bustling city, arriving at your hotel in Hanoi in the late afternoon. 6:00 PM:
Return to Hanoi. Our vehicle will drop you off at your hotel. End of the 2-day Mai Chau tour.
